In 1820, Tyrolean Josef Naus and two assistants were the first to climb the summit of Zugspitze.
Zirben-Sauna-Haus
The Alpine SPA in the Post is extended when the Panorama stone pine sauna lodge with a saltwater outdoor pool and a new, exclusive quiet room are added.
Salzstadl übersiedelt
The “Lermooser Salzstadel” is taken apart and rebuilt in Ehrenberg.

The Hotel Post is rebuilt, with the listed part facing the Kirchplatz remaining intact.
300 Jahre Wirtsrecht Hotel Post
The Hotel Post celebrates 300 years of “Wirtsrecht”, the licence to serve food and beverages. The Post Schlössl is renovated from scratch in compliance with the restrictions imposed by the monument protection authority.
Erwerb Zugspitz Bahn
With the sale of the shares in the business that are held by the Province of Tyrol to the Zillertaler Gletscherbahn GmbH & Co KG, the Zugspitz Bahn becomes the property of the Dengg family.
Lazarett
During WWII, the Hotel Post is used as a field hospital.
Post Schlössl
The Post Schlössl becomes the property of the Jäger family and is used as a private residence.
Johann Von Dietrich ist Militär-Lieferant
Johann Von Dietrich is a supplier to the military. He fights side by side with Andreas Hofer against the Bavarians and is decorated by Emperor Francis I.
Goethe zu Besuch
On 20 March, Goethe stops off in Lermoos on his way to Italy.
Familie Von Dietrich
The “Alte Post” is taken over by the Von Dietrich family.
Gasthaus "Zur Post"
The inn “Zur Post” passes into the hands of the Jäger family.
Entstehung Lermooser Salzstadel
The Von Sterzingers are salt merchants. On the “Salt Road” that leads from Hall to Augsburg, the “Lermooser Salzstadel”, a storage facility for salt, is erected.

The Counts of Thurn and Taxis pass the hereditary office of postmaster on to the Von Sterzinger faily.
Grundstein-Legung der „Alten Post“
Foundation stone of the “Alte Post” is laid to set up a post station of the imperial postmaster of Füssen and Lermoos under the reign of Emperor Maximilian I and Emperor Charles V. It later becomes a Renaissance palace.
