The tastefully furnished parlor has a timeless and elegant look, in Tyrol one would say: homely. The view is also unique: on the other side of the valley rises the mighty Zugspitze massif. The selection is fairly straightforward; in addition to the evening menu, there is a small menu with three dishes. A blood sausage sandwich is served as a place setting, which is in no way inferior to the well-known example at the Steirereck restaurant in Vienna&#8217;s Stadtpark. Seasonal and regional products are served creatively. The kitchen spoils us with a good mix of meat, fish and vegetables. A highlight from the menu is the quick-fried roast onion, and the river pike-perch with herb triplets is also extremely delicate and cooked to perfection. The obvious one, namely the menu for hotel guests, deserves our praise. On the fantastic terrace, bathed in sunshine in both summer and winter and with spectacular views of the Sonnblick, there is plenty to choose from, from Wiener Schnitzel to sea bream with Alpine prawn wonton, spinach and avocado. For those who want something even finer, the menu in the Gourmet Stube is on the menu. The black pudding bread tastes as good as if the post office was in Vienna&#8217;s Stadtpark. The vegetable tartare with mustard ice cream and toasted bread doesn&#8217;t leave any feeling of loss due to the omission of meat, and the beef tartare is also very good. The tartelette with kingfish, herbs and pickled vegetables is very precisely arranged and extremely successful. The char with artichokes in a buttery sauce and the saddle of venison in a spinach leaf with mushrooms and plums are tops.
